Find a hidden paradise at Puri Bagus Lovina

Hidden on Bali's north coast, the Lovina Beach stretches along several miles of black volcanic coastline, encompassing seven villages, with Kalibukbuk the established tourist center. Although Lovina is the second largest resort outside of the Kuta region, it is not as developed as the south of the island and retains a rural charm not in evidence in the more commercial areas, with guesthouses prettily situated on the beach or among the rice fields. Ducks, pigs and chickens scratch in the fields and cattle wander along the roads.

You start your Lovina experience with your family by hopping onto colourful Balinese boats that will take you to see the sociable dolphins, most active at sunrise. Situated between the main diving sites on the north coast of Bali, Lovina is a good base for diving excursions, and the reef-protected waters provide a calm environment for snorkelling. The black-sand beaches are calm and good for swimming. Bali's only Buddhist monastery, Brahma Vihara Arama, is a few miles away and can be combined with a visit to the delightful Air Panas hot springs at Banjar, another great holiday attraction. Such a blissful holiday indeed!

Sits right by the black-sand beach of Lovina, lies the elegant beachfront retreat – Puri Bagus Lovina. Sets on the quiet shores of Bali’s northern coast, Puri Bagus Lovina is a mixture of traditional Balinese design with all the modern amenities that you and your family would expect from a 4-star resort.

Open the wide sliding bedroom door and look directly to the sea with coconut trees swaying to the gentle breeze.

Puri Bagus Lovina’s open-air restaurant with spectacular views of the sea and the gardens, Saraswati Restaurant and Bar, provides both International and Indonesian cuisine. If you wish to have a very romantic candlelight dinner next to the beach, all you need to do is ask. The Grill chef will prepare your meal to perfection while you enjoy each other’s company as the waves gently meet the shore.
